Bled Castle is a protected cultural monument. To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone and to help preserve the castle for future generations, we ask all visitors to respect the following rules. For information on physical access, please see our accessibility page.

Please follow these rules during your visit.

Photography & Drones

Photography for personal, non-commercial use is allowed. Professional photography and filming require prior permission. For safety and heritage protection, the use of drones is strictly prohibited in the castle area.

Pets

Dogs are permitted in the castle's outdoor areas (courtyards and terraces) but must be kept on a leash at all times. Pets are not allowed inside any of the buildings, including the museum, chapel, and restaurant.

Bags and Luggage

For the safety and comfort of all visitors, large bags, backpacks, and luggage are not allowed inside the castle. Please make arrangements to store large items elsewhere before your visit.

General Conduct

Please do not touch the museum exhibits. Be considerate of other visitors by keeping noise to a minimum. Help us protect the natural environment by not littering.

Can I fly my drone to get photos of the castle?
No, flying drones over Bled Castle is strictly forbidden to protect the historic site and ensure visitor safety.
Is there a place to store my luggage?
The castle does not have a luggage storage facility. You will need to store large bags at your hotel or at a luggage storage service in the town of Bled.
Are there any restrictions on what I can bring inside?
Aside from large bags, general museum rules apply. Food and drink are not permitted inside the museum and chapel areas. Please enjoy them in the designated café or restaurant.
Is smoking allowed?
Smoking is not permitted inside any of the castle buildings or enclosed spaces. Please use designated outdoor areas if you need to smoke.
